The Labor Court is increasingly creative in ensuring the payment of labor debts. After blocking the passport and driver’s license of defaulting debtors, another innovative measure was implemented by the Specialized Subsection II for Individual Disputes (SDI-2) of the Superior Labor Court: blocking the debtor’s credit card until the debt is paid in full.
The decision also determined that it was impossible to issue new cards to defaulting debtors, constituting an atypical measure for paying debts, which have already been considered constitutional by the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
