This August, the Senate approved Bill No. 741/2021, the text of which provides for the criminalization of psychological violence against women, characterized by any emotional harm to the woman.
The penalty for repression of psychological violence against women is 6 months to 2 years of imprisonment and payment of a fine.
Furthermore, the bill provides for the creation of the Red Signal program against Domestic Violence, which consists of the adoption of measures against domestic violence, for the woman who goes to any public or private office (participating in the Red Signal program) with an X on the palm of her hand, preferably in red, this act will constitute the silent denunciation of the aggressor.
