Parental alienation is a serious matter and must be handled with due caution to protect the child’s interests. To this end, Representative Shéridan introduced Bill 5588/20, seeking to amend the Civil Code, the Parental Alienation Law, and the Child and Adolescent Statute to modify some of the procedures provided therein. Among the suggested changes is the recording of psychological expert interviews for submission to the court, giving the judge access to a broader view of the case, not limiting them to the professional’s opinion. We continue to monitor the progress of the bill.
