According to the Superior Labor Court (TST), the Labor Court is competent to judge access to information about workers in credit protection registries and criminal records of professionals who are undergoing interviews at a company.

The trial took place in a Public Civil Action, in which the Public Ministry of Labor filed, to declare that companies should be prohibited from consulting the register of credit protection entities and criminal records, as a requirement for hiring an employee.

The case is still in the trial phase, but it already shows that the Labor Court has jurisdiction over matters related to the General Data Protection Law, relating to the employment relationship.
